The Hoxton Hotel
Client: The Hoxton
Project: Create assets that tell a new visual story of the hotel groups restaurant and event spaces in Portland as they reposition the brand following the pandemic.
Services: Creative direction, content production, brand storytelling, commercial photography
Execution: I worked together with The Hoxton team in New York to establish the creative direction and visual storytelling approach as they took the brand in a new direction following the pandemic. I hired a local production team in Portland and managed them through pre-production and project execution, while leading the content creation and post-production. The first phase of the project took place Spring 2021 and focused on developing marketing assets for the rooftop restaurant Tope. The second part of the project took place Summer 2021 where we focused on the rebranding of the main hotel restaurant, Lovely Rita, and the private dining and event spaces in The Apartment.
WESTWARD WHISKEY
Client: Westward Whiskey
Project: Concepting and developing marketing content that captures the new premium brand identity of Westward Whiskey.
Services: Creative direction, content production, brand storytelling, commercial photography, communication strategy, social media content development
Execution: I began working with Westward Whiskey in 2018, partnering with the brand on the strategy and creation of marketing content as they scaled-up communications and refined their digital media strategy to include more visual marketing materials. In 2020, Westward Whiskey began the rebranding process and we worked together to create a new library of visual assets that reflected the new brand direction. Currently, I oversee the art direction, development, and execution of quarterly roll-outs of branded content for print and digital marketing channels.
CRAFT3
Client: Craft3
Project: Craft3 is a financial lender that uses capital as a tool for social good by investing in businesses, individuals, and communities that aren’t able to access traditional financing. The marketing team was in the process of a brand refresh and brought me on to visualize the community impact of their work.
Services: Content production, brand storytelling, commercial photography
Execution: Pre-production planning for a two-day production in the Seattle area, visiting six businesses that have received funding from Craft3.
BIBI THREADS
Client: Bibi Threads
Project: I was approached by Bibi Threads to define the creative direction and develop visual assets for the newly-established brand as they prepared to launch their line of products for new moms.
Services: Creative direction, content strategy and development, commercial photography, art direction.
Execution: Together with the founder, I worked to define the creative and art direction for the marketing collateral, overseeing a team that planned the production logistics for a photo and video shoot. I managed the production budget, hiring the talent, location logistics, and post-production planning. On set, I executed the content production together with the team, serving as the creative director and photographer.
Parachute Home
Client: Parachute Home
Project: Parachute opened a storefront in Portland’s NW 23rd district and was not experiencing the business traffic anticipated. We worked together to increase visibility and connect to the Portland community through partnership outreach and a digital media campaign centered around Mother’s Day.
Services: Concept development and creative direction for Parachute’s Spring Campaign, including concept ideation, project planning, team and partner management, and campaign execution.
Tony’s Chocolonely
Client: Tony’s Chocolonely
Project: An Amsterdam-based company, Tony’s was struggling to gain traction in the North American market. We aimed to increase brand recognition through a series of partnerships, events, and collaborations.
Services: Concept strategy, content development, and creative direction for Tony’s Chocolonely chef collaboration series with partners in Portland, LA, and New York.
Patrón Tequila
Client: Patrón Tequila
Project: The marketing team aimed to expand its brand positioning to include premium dining experiences. Through a partnership with Secret Supper, Patrón hosted a dinner series in 7 cities across the United States and Mexico for media, influencers, and clients.
